Mixed Vegetable Pakoras

Mixed Vegetable Pakoras on Foodista
Garam Chai with Pakoras anyone?
Vegetables in chickpea batter, deep fried oooh lalaa ! with a hot cup of cardamom and fennel tea--- to die for ! Soooo good !

Pakoras are like fritters, they can be made with any veg or even paneer, (home made cheese).
The batter generally stays the same, consisting of chick pea flour water and spices.
Try some with Deva Naturals Spicy Tamarind or Mangosteen Chutney !

Mmmm....I love Pakoras. It's been a while since I've made a full Indian spread. After viewing your page it gets me in the mood for Indian food. I recently purchased some organic lamb. I'm thinking lamb curry. Normally I'll make a lassi to accompany the meal. Can you suggest something other then lassi for me to make?

Lassi sounds good. What kind you u make? You can make many variations of lassi, have you tried Mango Lassi? Just add mango pulp to your lassi, and blend.
If you want something salty on a hot day, then just take some dahi (home made yogurt) add a pinch of salt and black pepper and thin it with ice cold water. I do 1/2 dahi and 1/2 water.
A cup of cardamom tea would be yummy following your delicious lamb curry dinnah !
Keep the comments coming, thanks !
